  • I'd really like to try the lower seating position, because I'm very tall and don't like the seating position in my GPA very much, and in the 500 it's terrible for me.


    Is it like a race car or do you still have a good visibility.
    Especially the frond end. Do you have to guess and judge with help from the light cone ( for instance when you're parking) or can you still see over the wheel reasonably ?

  • I am 1.93m and the driving position is much better than standard! Yes it is a bit hard to see over the bonnet but it is not a big problem.


    Yes, the hole in the bonnet lets water directly onto the battery and onto the ECU! I have to work out something to cover over this for the winter months.

  • The seats are really sweet, thats something id wanna change in due time.


    From a distance the car looks just standard with some extras, I'll bet you'll scare some far more expensive cars at the lights...and beyond LOL

  • Lagerlout: It is the sequentiell Gearbox. If you dont have it, you may need it from now on. Test it next week and you will never ever hear about this loosing paddles. One push forward next gear , one push backward one gear up. Like in an Rally Car. LOL :evil:

    i have 180 PS and when i put the pedal down to the ground.... 1 gear..
    .theres no grip anymore on front tires...

  • Hello all,


    I come to Stetten this Thursday morning to collect car from Helmut! See pictures of BMC airbox and 307PS configuration!


    I want a cold air feed from NACA duct. So I will either swap the NACA duct to the other side of the bonnet and get the cold air feed there, or run a tube (probably something solid metal/carbon) across the cylinder head and back into the filter then out to the existing NACA duct.


    The BMC filter is huge to support 300+ PS. Normally in Ferrari/Lamborghini there are two smaller filters.

    Das kannst du nicht vergleichen. Du fährst den kleinen Originallader der bei 2000 Umdrehungen voll kommt und dann kommt obenrum nichts mehr.


    Bei einem großen Lader ist in den unteren Drehzahlbereichen weniger los, da er später kommt und zieht einen somit viel besser, progressiver raus.

  • I don't know at the moment, I have not tested it because I have only had car in the winter so far! I will try and find out top speed when I am on Autobahn tomorrow traffic permitting! Last time I collect it from Stetten in Dec 09 I got 145 mph with 1000+ rpm left on tachometer. I ran into traffic so had to slow down.


    When I get back to UK I will do some performance testing and take it to Santa Pod drag strip. We have maximum speed of 110kph on Motorways in the UK so I will not be able to try a top speed test unless I go back to Germany. :(
